SUPER BOWL TRIP TO BE AWARDED
The PHCC of Greater Boston will be
awarding an all-expenses paid trip for two to the 2006 Superbowl in
Detroit. The trip will the raffled off in early January, and will go to
one of the hundreds of Local 12 plumbers who have completed at least 20
hours of continuing education, as called for in the current collective
bargaining agreement.
The PHCC of Greater Boston will also
be raffling off a Caribbean cruise for two. To be eligible, you must be
a member of Plumbers Union Local 12, and have completed the OSHA 10-Hour
Safety Training course.
"Our goal," said PHCC of Greater
Boston Executive Director Hugh Kelleher, "is to make sure that our
workforce is the best-trained, and safest, in the construction industry.
Awards programs like these generate a great deal of interest and
participation."
Several years ago the PHCC raffled
off a new pickup truck to a Local 12 plumber who had taken OSHA
training.
